Harper’s Bazaar…

27 Feb

Harper’s Bazaar is an American Fashion Magazine, first published in 1867. Aimed at members of the upper middle and upper classes, Bazaar assembles photographers, artists, designers and writers to deliver a sophisticated perspective into the world of fashion, beauty and popular culture on a monthly basis. Bazaar is now published across the world into 25 countries, other than the U.S.

Since Bazaar’s first issue in 1867 as America’s first fashion magazine has been home to talent, such as the founding editor, author, translator Mary Louise Booth as well as Fashion editors, photographers, Illustrators and writers.

When Harper’s Bazaar became a publication, it was a weekly magazine catering to women in upper/upper middle classes. They showcased fashion from Germany and Paris in a news paper-design format. It was not until 1901 when the magazine became a monthly publication, which it maintains today.
